Abstract

The cable branching box is used solely for cable branching. Its main function is to split or connect cables, primarily serving the purpose of cable branching and cable connection. With the development of the cable-based distribution network, when independent loads with relatively small capacity are concentrated in a specific area, a cable branching box can be used for multi-branch connections, as the branching box cannot directly operate on each line.

The cable branch box is a connecting device in the power system, mainly having the following structure and functions:

1. The box body and cover are made of insulating materials, providing certain mechanical strength.

2. There are insulating supports inside to fix and isolate the cables.

3. There is no mechanical stress or local overheating inside the box.

4. It can install measuring devices such as voltage transformers and current transformers.

5. The terminals use six protruding high-voltage terminals, ensuring reliable contact pressure.

6. A manual operating lever is used to ground the cables.

7. It can achieve connections, branching, and direction changes between cables.

8. Wiring is convenient, and installation and maintenance are easy.

9. Good rainproof and dustproof performance.

10. Easy to install and use, occupying a small area.

In summary, the cable branch box is an important connecting and branching device in the power system, crucial for ensuring safe power supply and reliable operation.
