Abstract

The KYN28 switchgear, also known as the KYN28-12 type armored withdrawable metal-clad switchgear, is a high-voltage switchgear used in 3.6~12kV three-phase AC 50Hz power grids. It is mainly used in power plants, substations, and industrial and mining enterprises in power systems for receiving and distributing electricity, and for controlling, monitoring, and protecting circuits. The following are its main structural features:

Structural Features

Truck-type Design

  • The KYN28 uses a truck-type (withdrawable) circuit breaker, allowing the circuit breaker to move between the test position and the operating position, facilitating maintenance and replacement.

Compartmentalized Design

  • The interior of the equipment is divided into several independent compartments: main busbar compartment, circuit breaker compartment, cable compartment, and relay instrument compartment. The protection level between each compartment reaches IP2X, ensuring operational safety.

Materials and Craftsmanship

  • The cabinet shell is made of aluminum-zinc coated steel plate processed by a CNC machine and using a multiple folding process, featuring high strength, good corrosion resistance, and light weight. The surface is treated with powder coating, enhancing aesthetics and durability.

Five-prevention Function

  • It has functions to prevent misoperation, including preventing closing under load, preventing closing with a grounding wire, preventing entry into a live compartment, preventing grounding under load, and preventing pulling a disconnecting switch under load, improving operational safety.

Pressure Relief Device

  • Pressure relief devices are installed above the truck compartment, busbar compartment, and cable compartment. In the event of an internal fault arc, they automatically open to release pressure, protecting personnel and equipment safety.

Secondary Plug and Interlocking Device

  • The secondary plug connects the secondary circuits on the switchgear to the truck, and the secondary plug is locked when the truck is in the operating position, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Modular Design

  • The KYN28 adopts an assembled structure, with strong component universality, short production cycle, small footprint, and easy organization of production and on-site installation.

These features combine to make the KYN28 switchgear a highly efficient, safe, and reliable medium-voltage switchgear. In practical applications, different types of circuit breakers and other electrical components can be configured according to different needs.
