Limitations of IP54 Protection Rating
Although IP54-rated electrical control cabinets perform well in the environments mentioned above, they do have certain limitations. For example, in environments with heavy water jets (such as fire hose spray) or prolonged immersion, IP54-rated electrical control cabinets may not provide sufficient protection. In such cases, a higher protection rating (such as IP65 or above) is required to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.
