Abstract
“ Jia Zhi ” Refers to the key component brands designated by Party A (the customer) (e.g., specifying a particular brand for circuit breakers). ABB ), purchased by the manufacturer; “ Supplied by Party B ” The selection of brands shall be entirely at the discretion of Party B (the manufacturer), based on technical requirements. This directly determines the final cost of the complete electrical equipment package.
In actual complete electrical projects, both the “Party A Designated” and “Party B Supplied” models have their own advantages and considerations. By adopting the “Party A Designated” approach, Party A can ensure that the quality and performance of key components meet its own expectations. After all, products from well-known brands often provide reliable guarantees in terms of quality stability and technical specifications, which helps ensure the long-term stable operation of the entire complete electrical system and reduces subsequent maintenance costs and risks. However, this approach may also somewhat limit Party B’s procurement flexibility, and the prices of products from designated brands are typically higher, thereby increasing the overall project cost.
The “Party B-supplied” model grants Party B greater autonomy. Based on its own procurement channels, cost-control strategies, and the specific conditions of the project, Party B can select brands and products that offer the best value for money. This enables Party B to effectively control costs while ensuring that quality standards are met, thereby providing Party A with more competitively priced quotations. However, the “Party B-supplied” approach also carries certain risks: if Party B, in pursuit of profit, opts for products that fail to meet quality standards, it could compromise the overall quality and safety of the complete electrical system. Therefore, whether adopting the “Party A-designated” or “Party B-supplied” approach, both parties—Party A and Party B—must engage in thorough communication and consultation during the early stages of the project to clearly define their respective responsibilities and rights, thus ensuring the smooth progress and high-quality completion of the project.
