Abstract

Household distribution boxes typically use PZ30 The series emphasizes both aesthetics and the modularity of miniature circuit breakers. Industrial distribution boxes, on the other hand, must meet stricter industrial safety standards; their enclosures are typically made of metal and offer enhanced resistance to explosion, corrosion, and impact.

In terms of protection ratings, there are also noticeable differences between residential distribution boxes and industrial lighting distribution boxes. Residential distribution boxes are typically located in relatively safe indoor environments, so their protection rating requirements are comparatively lower. Commonly, they achieve a protection rating of around IP40, primarily designed to prevent solid objects of a certain diameter from entering the box and to shield them from everyday dust and other minor contaminants. In contrast, industrial lighting distribution boxes operate in complex application scenarios and may face a variety of harsh environmental conditions, such as high humidity, dusty environments, and the presence of corrosive gases. As a result, these distribution boxes have much higher protection rating requirements—often reaching IP54 or even higher. An IP54 rating means that the box can not only effectively prevent harmful dust from entering but also withstand water jets from any direction without sustaining damage, ensuring stable operation even in severe industrial environments. Moreover, in terms of electrical performance, industrial lighting distribution boxes stand out significantly. Industrial facilities feature high-power and numerous electrical devices, so industrial lighting distribution boxes must possess stronger overcurrent and short-circuit protection capabilities. They can quickly and accurately disconnect faulty circuits, thereby safeguarding the entire industrial electrical system and preventing serious accidents such as fires caused by electrical faults. This contrasts sharply with residential distribution boxes, which primarily meet the daily electricity needs of households and thus have relatively weaker protective capabilities.
