Abstract

1. Box Structure: The box of the European-style substation consists of three parts: the base, the shell, and the top cover. The base is generally made of channel steel, angle steel, flat steel, steel plates, etc., which are welded or bolted together to form a structure. To meet the needs of ventilation, heat dissipation, and cable entry and exit, strip holes and appropriately sized round holes should be opened in the corresponding positions. The box shell and top cover are formed by bending, welding, or connecting with screws, hinges, or related special accessories using channel steel, angle steel, steel plates, aluminum alloy plates, color-coated steel plates, cement boards, etc.

Regardless of the material of the box transformer shell, it must meet the standard requirements for five protective functions: sun protection, rain protection, dust protection, rust protection, and prevention of small animals (such as snakes) from entering. To avoid intense sunlight radiation in hot summer days, the top of the European-style substation is generally filled with insulation materials that have a lower thermal conductivity. Common fillers include rock wool boards and polystyrene foam.
