Abstract

1. The distribution system at the construction site should implement a hierarchical distribution. A main distribution box (or distribution room) should be set up, with sub-distribution boxes installed below the main distribution box, followed by switch boxes below the sub-distribution boxes, and finally, the electrical equipment below the switch boxes.

The main distribution box should be located close to the power source; sub-distribution boxes should be installed in areas where electrical equipment or loads are relatively concentrated; the distance between sub-distribution boxes and switch boxes should not exceed 30m. Switch boxes should be powered by the last level sub-distribution box, and the horizontal distance between the switch box and its controlled fixed electrical equipment should not exceed 3m.

3. Distribution boxes and switch boxes should be installed in well-ventilated, dry, and normal temperature locations. Installation in areas with severe damage effects from gas, smoke, vapor, liquids, and other harmful media is prohibited. They should not be installed in places prone to impact, vibration, liquid splashes, or exposure to heat sources; there should be enough space and passage around the distribution box and switch box for two people to work together. No items that hinder operation or maintenance should be piled up, and there should be no weeds or shrubs.

4. Distribution boxes and switch boxes should be made of iron plates or high-quality insulating materials, with iron plate thickness greater than 1.5mm; electrical appliances inside the distribution box should primarily be installed on metal or non-wood insulating mounting boards, then securely fastened within the distribution box body; the metal plate should be electrically connected to the distribution box body.

The connecting wires inside the distribution box and switch box should use insulated wires, with joints that are not loose and no exposed live parts; the working neutral wire inside the distribution box and switch box should connect through terminal blocks, separated from the protective neutral wire terminal block; the metal body of the distribution box, metal appliance mounting board, and non-live metal bases or shells of appliances inside the box must have protective grounding connections, with protective neutral wires connected through terminal blocks.

6. Power distribution boxes and lighting distribution boxes should preferably be set up separately; if placed in the same distribution box, power and lighting lines should be routed separately.

7. The wire entry and exit ports in the distribution box and switch box should be located at the bottom surface of the box body; installation on the top surface, side surfaces, back surfaces, or doors of the box is prohibited; entry and exit wires should be bundled with protective sheaths and made waterproof bends; wire bundles must not directly contact the entry or exit of the box body; power lines entering switch boxes must not use plug connections; for mobile distribution boxes and switch boxes, entry and exit lines must use rubber insulated cables.

8. Distribution boxes and switch boxes should be installed firmly and upright. Mobile distribution boxes and switch boxes should be mounted on sturdy supports. The vertical distance from the bottom surface of fixed distribution boxes and switch boxes to the ground should be greater than 1.3m but less than 1.5m; for mobile sub-distribution boxes and switch boxes, this distance should preferably be greater than 0.6m but less than 1.5m; all distribution boxes and switch boxes must be rainproof and dustproof.
