1. American cable branch box: The characteristic of the American branch box is a single-direction opening door, horizontal multi-way busbars, with obvious advantages such as small width, flexible combination, full insulation, and full sealing. It can generally be divided into 600A main circuit and 200A branch circuit according to rated current. The 600A main circuit uses screw-in bolts for fixed connection; the 200A branch uses plug-in connections that can be plugged and unplugged under load.

2. European cable branch box: The main feature of the European cable branch box is a bi-directional opening door, using wall sleeves as connecting busbars. It has obvious advantages such as small length, clear cable arrangement, and no need for three-core cables to cross over large spans. Generally, a rated current of 630A is used to fix the connection of cable joints.

3. Cable branch box with load switch: The main feature of the cable branch box with load switch is its ability to interrupt short-circuit and load currents in the line. Its combination method is simple, convenient, and flexible, and it is fully insulated, fully sealed, maintenance-free, safe, and reliable. This can greatly save investment in equipment and cables while improving the reliability of power supply. The advantage of the new type of cable branch box is that it has protective devices on the incoming line. Once a user experiences a power outage, only the corresponding faulty user will be disconnected without affecting other users' normal electricity usage. This reduces the number of cascading tripping incidents and decreases the area affected by power outages, enhancing the reliability of power supply for distribution network users.

Characteristics of cable branch boxes

The internal conductor connection adopts crimping methods for easy installation and flexible incoming and outgoing lines. During operation, there can be 6 to 8 branches entering and exiting, allowing multiple power supplies within a community, providing technical support for deepening load centers, shortening power supply radius, and reducing line losses. Cable branch boxes can also be equipped with power indicators, fault indicators, silicone rubber insulated plug-in surge protectors, grounding switches, and other devices to ensure safe operation, maintenance, and management.

Precautions for cable branch boxes

Installation and construction are very important. Whether the installation and connection process of the cable joints in the cable branch box is correct, whether the installation process of the cable heads is familiar, and the combination order of internal components in the cable branch box and cable head components will directly affect the service life and normal operation of the cable branch box.

Before operating the equipment, it is necessary to check whether each branch cable's grounding wire is connected to the box's grounding terminal; the box's shell must be directly connected to the grounding network or through an obvious grounding point. After installation is complete, it must be tested together with relevant testing standards and conditions.
