Abstract

Distribution boxes, distribution cabinets, and other similar equipment are common power distribution devices in daily life. Improper use or maintenance can lead to serious accidents. Every time I see accidents caused by violations or improper operations, as a professional manufacturer of high and low voltage distribution cabinets, I feel it is my responsibility and duty to organize and share the precautions for using distribution cabinets with everyone.

Distribution boxes, distribution cabinets, and other distribution equipment are common in daily life. Improper use or maintenance can lead to serious accidents. Every time I see accidents caused by violations or improper operations, as a professional, high and low voltage distribution cabinet manufacturers, I feel a responsibility and obligation to organize and share the precautions for using distribution cabinets with everyone. We hope that through our efforts, we can reduce the occurrence of tragedies.

Here are four key precautions for using distribution cabinets:

First, assign positions and clarify responsibilities. The department responsible for the power supply of the distribution box should number, register, file, classify each low-voltage distribution box, and clarify responsibilities. Regular technical inspections and maintenance should be conducted on the distribution boxes. Any issues found should be recorded promptly and addressed to prevent accidents.

Second, set standards and assessments. Regular inspections should be conducted according to the maintenance schedule for the distribution cabinet. If severe heating of components inside the distribution box is found, the cause of the heating should be identified, and any loose connections should be tightened promptly. Additionally, if there is dust or debris inside the distribution box, it should be cleaned up promptly to keep the distribution box clean and tidy.

Third, establish precautions. Maintenance or operating personnel must not stack or hang work items or other objects within 1.2 meters in front of the distribution box door. Furthermore, there should be no standing water around the distribution box, as this can lead to electric shock accidents; non-professional electricians should not disassemble electrical components inside the distribution box at will.

Fourth, determine operating procedures. Operations of the distribution box should strictly follow operational procedures. During use, switches should be operated under load; otherwise, large arcs may form, damaging distribution components or injuring personnel operating the distribution box.
