Abstract

Professional inspection items for outdoor switchgear include:
External inspection

Cabinet exterior: Check for tilt, rust, cracks, damage, deformation, serious soiling, etc. Check if the cabinet door can be closed normally, if the bottom plate is intact, and if the cable sealing in the cable compartment is intact.
Bushing inspection: Check for cracks, damage, serious soiling, etc.
Protection level inspection: According to relevant standards, check whether the protection level of the cabinet meets the requirements, such as IP4X, to ensure effective prevention of foreign object intrusion.

Electrical component inspection

Switch inspection: Check if all switches are firmly installed, without tilting, skewing, loosening, whether they are working normally, whether there are tripping, heating, burning phenomena, whether the lead connection points and cable terminals are good, and whether the distance between the cable joints and the shell and ground meets the requirements.
Low-voltage fuse switch inspection: Check if the contact of the low-voltage fuse switch is good, and whether there is any heating or burning phenomenon of the fuse (wire).
RCD, low-voltage circuit breaker inspection: Check if the RCD, low-voltage circuit breaker, etc. are running normally, whether there are tripping, burning, heating, etc.
Electrical connection point inspection: Check if all electrical connection points are reliably connected, whether there is rust, overheating and burning.
Capacitor inspection: Check if the capacitor is normally switched and whether the power factor meets the requirements. Check if the capacitor is overheating, bulging, leaking, blackened, or has an unusual smell.

Electrical connection inspection

Connection firmness inspection: Check if all electrical connection points are firm and reliable, including the connection between wires and terminals, and terminals and equipment, to prevent poor contact or overheating due to loose connections.
Phase color inspection: Check if the phase color is clear and complete, ensure the correct phase sequence, facilitate maintenance and operation.

Grounding system inspection

Grounding device inspection: Check if the grounding device of the switchgear is reliably connected to the grounding grid, whether the grounding wire is damaged, rusty, or corroded, and whether the grounding resistance meets the requirements. Generally, the grounding resistance is required to be ≤4Ω.
Lightning protection grounding inspection: Check that the cabinet has ≥2 points connected to the grounding grid, and the transformer shell has two obvious grounding points, which are connected to the low-voltage neutral point and high/low-voltage lightning arrester and then grounded.

Inspection of instruments, signals, and protection devices

Instrument inspection: Check if the data of instruments, signals, and protection devices are displayed normally, and whether the electrical quantities such as current, voltage, and frequency are within the allowable range.
Communication function inspection: For instruments with communication functions, check if their communication is normal.
Protection action inspection: Check if the protection device is working normally, such as overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, leakage protection, etc., to ensure that it can operate in time when a fault occurs, protecting equipment and personnel safety.

External cleaning and surrounding environment inspection

Cleaning inspection: Check if the inside and outside of the cabinet are clean, whether there is dust, dirt, etc. Keeping the switchgear clean helps prevent electrical faults caused by dust accumulation.
Surrounding environment inspection: Check if the surrounding environment of the switchgear is good, whether there is debris accumulation, water accumulation, corrosive gases, etc., to ensure that the operating environment of the switchgear meets the requirements.

Document inspection

Basic information verification: Check if the "three certificates" of the switchgear are complete, including the qualification certificate, inspection report, and production qualification certificate, to ensure the legality and compliance of the equipment.
Model and parameter verification: Verify if the model and parameters of the switchgear and the components in the cabinet meet the design document requirements, ensuring the correct selection and configuration of the equipment.
Handover test report inspection: Check if the handover test report is qualified, ensuring that the switchgear can operate normally after installation and debugging.
