Abstract

Box-type substations are usually used in high-voltage environments, so electrical safety is of utmost importance. This requires that box-type substations must be handled with great care during assembly and use.

1. The wiring of high-voltage distribution equipment in the box-type substation should be as simple as possible, including the wiring of terminal substations and suitable wiring for power supply in the ring network.

2. High-voltage distribution equipment should adopt a combination structure of load switches and fuses. When the capacity of oil-immersed transformers is above 800 kVA, devices that can cut off the power supply should be used in conjunction with transformer gas protection.

3. High-voltage distribution equipment should have five preventive measures to prevent misoperation, such as mistakenly pulling or closing switchgear, pulling down load switches, grounding wires being energized, grounding wires being closed, and personnel entering live areas. There should also be reliable interlocking between load switches and fuses.

4. The inside of the cabinet should include the main circuit diagram, control circuit diagram, operating procedures, and precautions.

5. Busbars should preferably use insulated wires (or insulated busbars).

6. The installation position of high-voltage incoming and outgoing lines should consider cable installation for easy testing.
