Abstract

The doors of the box-type substation should open outward and must be equipped with handles, concealed bolts, and locks, which should be rust-resistant. The transformer room should primarily rely on natural ventilation, and a curve showing the relationship between the internal temperature and the transformer output should be provided. The transformer room may be equipped with room temperature monitoring devices and automatic ventilation cooling devices as needed to ensure that the transformer operates at full load under specified environmental conditions. The transformer should be accessible from the top or side doors, and the noise level of the box-type substation must not exceed the specified noise level of the transformer. Regardless of whether the outer shell of the box is made of metal or non-metal materials, the metal frame of the box should be well grounded, have grounding terminals, and be marked with grounding symbols.

Box-type substationThe box door should open outward and should have handles, hidden bolts, and locks, which should be rust-resistant. The transformer room should primarily rely on natural ventilation, and a curve showing the relationship between the internal temperature and the transformer output should be provided. The transformer room can be equipped with room temperature monitoring devices and automatic ventilation cooling devices as needed to ensure that the transformer operates at full load under specified environmental conditions. The transformer should be accessible from the top or side door, and the noise level of the box-type substation must not exceed the specified noise level of the transformer. Regardless of whether the outer shell of the box is made of metal or non-metal materials, the metal frame of the box should be well grounded, have grounding terminals, and be marked with grounding symbols.

The box-type substation mainly uses natural wind circulation for cooling; therefore, illegal stacking is not allowed around it, especially the door of the transformer room must not be blocked, and attachments on the louvered vents should be regularly cleared to ensure that all electrical equipment does not exceed the allowable temperature. After a low-voltage circuit breaker trips, the cause of tripping should be checked before trial delivery. If transmission is unsuccessful, a thorough investigation of the fault cause must be conducted before power transmission can resume to prevent accidents from escalating. Zinc oxide surge arresters should be installed in the high-voltage distribution room of the box-type transformer, and the installation method must facilitate testing and disassembly for replacement.

Box-type substationThe grounding and neutral line share a grounding network. The grounding network is generally grounded at four corners of the foundation and then connected into a whole. There must be two reliable connections between the box-type substation and the grounding network. After operation, frequent checks should be made to ensure that grounding connections are not loose or rusty. Ground resistance values should be measured regularly; ground resistance should not exceed 4Ω. The ring network switches, transformers, surge arresters, and other equipment in the high-voltage distribution device of the box-type substation should be regularly inspected and maintained. Any defects found should be repaired promptly, and regular insulation preventive tests should be conducted. If a box-type substation has been out of service for more than three months, comprehensive preventive tests should be conducted before it is put back into operation. High-voltage fuses without breaking capacity must be replaced; transformers must be powered off during operation, mechanical interlocks must be correctly released using insulated operating rods, and all entry and exit holes of the box-type substation should be sealed to prevent small animals from entering and causing accidents.

The floor of the box-type substation should be placed at a higher location and not in low-lying areas to prevent rainwater from flooding into the box and affecting equipment operation. When pouring concrete platforms, gaps should be left on both high-voltage and low-voltage sides to facilitate cable entry and exit. When excavating foundations, if solid ground is encountered due to garbage or film accumulation, solid soil must first be excavated, then backfilled with better soil quality and compacted before filling with a mixture of soil or gravel to ensure foundation stability.
