Abstract
Box-type substationAlso known as box-type transformer, pre-installed substation, etc., it is divided into American box-type substations and European box-type substations.
The electrical equipment components in the box-type substation are all selected from final products, and the technical performance of the components meets the requirements of corresponding standards. The box-type substation also has functions for power detection, display, and measurement, and can achieve corresponding protection functions. It is also equipped with a dedicated grounding rail and has obvious grounding signs.
To adapt to outdoor working environments, the top of the box transformer generally adopts a partition structure, with insulation materials inside. There are cold air inlets and outlets between the bottom of the box and each room, using natural wind, cooling, and automatic control forced air cooling to ensure normal heat dissipation of electrical equipment, with rainproof, dustproof features, and prevention of small animals entering.
Components of the box-type substation: high-voltage side receiving equipment, transformer, low-voltage distribution device;
High-voltage side receiving equipment:
When selecting high-voltage side receiving equipment for the box-type substation, it is preferable to choose small-sized and low-cost components while meeting performance and usage environment requirements.
1. High-voltage switch (circuit breaker):
Domestic models of 10kV circuit breakers include KLF-10, ELC-24, XYn-10, etc. Circuit breakers have advantages such as long service life, low maintenance workload, and reliable performance, showing a trend to replace oil-free switches in box-type substations.
2. Fuse:
Fuses are matching parts of high-voltage switches and are the main protective devices for grounding phase-to-phase short circuits on the high-voltage side. They require high reliability and should be marked for closing and disconnection. For example, current drop fuses or newly developed fuses that melt after gas generation with a red flag extending can be closed with insulated pull rods for easy inspection and maintenance of circuit breakers. In recent years, a dual fuse sensitive to temperature and current has been introduced from abroad, also known as a dual-sensitive fuse, which improves the reliability of high-voltage switches.
3. Lightning arrester:
Currently, metal oxide lightning arresters are commonly used; they provide good protection against atmospheric overvoltage and can absorb surge currents during switch disconnection and closure. They are more suitable for distribution vacuum circuit breakers and can absorb their operating overvoltage, such as Y5W zinc oxide lightning arresters.
