Abstract

In order to facilitate the maintenance and inspection of the lines, improve the flexibility of operation modes, and reduce the downtime of the lines, the cable branch box can connect the load switch with related cable joint accessories, becoming a cable branch box with a switch. This switch can directly cut off the load current, enhancing power supply reliability. With full edge, full sealing, and full working conditions, it allows for regional power outages for maintenance without affecting the operation of the main network, and can replace some ring network cabinets, thereby reducing project costs.

With the development of the economy and technology, the use of cables for power supply in urban power grids has become an inevitable trend in the development of distribution networks. Ring network power supply has become the preferred form of cable power supply in distribution networks due to its economy and reliability. As urban distribution networks develop, the proportion of ring network power supply in user power supply schemes is increasing. The cable branch box, as the main equipment for ring network power supply, is receiving more and more attention from power supply departments and users. The cable branch box has many uses, mainly for switching stations of distribution lines, ring network rooms, distribution substations, distribution boxes, and pre-assembled box-type substations.

Equipped with maintenance-free SF6 load switches and ordinary cable branch boxes with all technical features, the cable branch box uses high-performance sulfur hexafluoride load switches with SF6 insulating gas inside and touch-screen shielded silicone rubber cable joints. It has strong active load and no-load cable current breaking capacity as well as short-circuit current closing capacity. It can also be equipped with lightning arresters and ground fault indicators according to user requirements. If flood-resistant touch cable heads are used, it can also resist flooding, greatly improving power supply reliability. This product is widely used in urban industrial areas, residential areas, commercial centers, mining areas, airports, railways, wind power stations, switching stations, steel, petroleum, chemical industries, cement industries, and other large enterprises as well as in other occasions for distribution networks. It is suitable for urban road grid renovation projects and can greatly save investment in electrical equipment and cables while improving power supply reliability.
