Abstract
1. Quality issues with the lighting distribution box itself.
When grounding the lighting distribution box, if it is not manufactured according to standards, and if some distribution boxes lack professional grounding or neutral busbars, the leakage protection action current time may be too long. The insulation resistance of the feeder and secondary circuit does not meet requirements, and there is no grounding wire connection between the door and frame, or between the box grounding terminal, without any markings. Due to a lack of safety awareness, this can easily lead to tripping, short circuits, or even disasters such as fires. Additionally, some distribution boxes do not have backup circuits, which puts the safe use of the lighting distribution box at unavoidable risk.
Cause analysis: The main factors leading to quality issues in distribution boxes are human factors, followed by material factors. Some real estate companies provide substandard products to gain more profit, thereby reducing project costs. At the same time, some supervisory units and construction units are among those who turn a blind eye to product quality supervision, resulting in the use of unqualified products in projects. Some construction teams are also unqualified. For various reasons, Party A or Party B arbitrarily authorizes the selection and provision of cheap components and distribution boxes, leading to serious quality hazards.
2. Installation quality issues.
Generally, installation quality issues with lighting distribution boxes often occur during the installation process, mainly reflected in some details. The installation quality is judged through acceptance and inspection. Common issues include: the height, levelness, and verticality of the lighting distribution box do not meet standards; gaps between the lighting distribution box and walls are not up to standard; door switches are not flexible; openings in the box do not match design; entry hole sizes are inappropriate; grounding protection is poorly done. All these issues can affect installation quality and project progress, leading to problems in the overall electrical system of the building.
Cause analysis: There are many reasons for installation quality issues, generally caused by workers' carelessness. First, there is a failure to integrate organically; especially during civil construction, pre-embedded work is not done as required, leading to poor coordination between both aspects. Often installations are done without considering usage, maintenance, and future repairs. Second, in order to meet deadlines, installations are done rather casually, resulting in issues such as the lighting distribution box being non-vertical or unevenly installed, box covers not flush against walls, and entry/exit pipe opening sizes and quantities not meeting requirements.
