Abstract

The lighting distribution box is divided into two types based on installation methods: closed hanging type (surface-mounted) and embedded type (flush-mounted). The main structure consists of components such as the box shell, panel, installation bracket, neutral busbar, and grounding busbar.

There are openings for the main switch and branch switches on the panel. If it is not necessary to install all branch switches, a sealing plate can be used to close part of the openings. The entry and exit knockouts are located on the top and bottom sides of the box shell. There is also a long oval knockout on the back, which can be knocked out as needed by the user. The lighting distribution box can also be classified based on the material of the box body into steel boxes, stainless steel boxes, iron boxes, and plastic boxes.

Quality issues with the installation of general lighting distribution boxes occur during the installation process, mainly in some detail areas. In principle, the installation quality is determined through acceptance and testing. Common issues include: non-compliance with standards for the height, levelness, and verticality of the lighting distribution box; gaps between the box and wall not meeting standards; box door switches not being flexible; discrepancies between box openings and design; inappropriate sizes of entry holes; and inadequate grounding protection. The above issues can affect installation quality and project progress, leading to problems in the overall electrical system of the building.
