Inspection of box-type substations before use
After the installation or maintenance of a box-type substation, certain inspections and tests should be conducted before it is put into operation. This includes checking whether the interior of the substation is clean, whether the operating mechanisms are flexible, whether the main electrical appliances are flexible and reliable, whether the auxiliary contacts of the electrical appliances are reliable and accurate, whether the instruments and relays operate accurately, whether the ratio of the modified electric meter to the transformer is correct, whether the wiring polarity is correct, whether all electrical installation nuts are tightened, whether the installation is firm and reliable, whether the bus connections are good, and whether the clamp parts are installed securely. Additionally, it should be verified that the supporting insulators and electrical setting values meet requirements, that the specifications of the fuse cores are correct, and that the contacts of both the main circuit and auxiliary circuit comply with the requirements of the electrical schematic. The internal protection grounding system of the product should be less than 0.01 ohms, and each part should undergo a withstand voltage test according to its corresponding voltage level.

What is a combined box-type substation?
The combined box-type substation places the transformer body, high-voltage load switch, fuse, and high and low voltage joints within a common sealed oil tank, with transformer oil serving as the insulating medium between the live components and the ground. This type of distribution equipment has a compact structure, small size, and is economical and practical.

The overvoltage phenomenon in box-type substations.
In a box-type substation, if the voltage of the relay protection calibration instrument exceeds the maximum allowable operating voltage of the transformer during operation, it is referred to as transformer overvoltage.

The main applications of box-type substations.
In the power system, most loads are inductive loads, which can cause a significant amount of reactive power. Simply put, electrical energy is wasted by the inductive loads in our daily lives. An important device in the box-type substation that can solve this problem is the capacitor compensation cabinet.
